THE HISTORY BEHIND JORONCO
JoRonCo Equipment Rentals was founded by Joe and Ron Holbert in 1983 as a general partnership specializing in homeowner, farmer and contractor needs with a very small focus on party rental. As time progressed more party rental items were added and their area of service expanded from Lamont to the entire Kern County area. By 1992 the party rental had grown to a point that the Holbert’s decided to start looking at JoRonCo Equipment Rentals as two separate firms with Joe overseeing the equipment side and Ron overseeing the party side. They also dropped the “Equipment” in their name and became known as JoRonCo Rentals. In 1997 party rentals had grown to a point that the Holbert’s decided it would be in the best interest of the company to sell off the equipment side of the company and focus entirely on the party and special event industry. By 2003, JoRonCo Rentals was not only serving customers in the Kern County area but they were doing events throughout Central California. Do to the tremendous growth that was taking place a 16,000 square foot warehouse and showroom was opened in Bakersfield. In 2005 the Holbert’s expanded the Bakersfield location to 40,000 square feet and closed the Lamont location. They also incorporated becoming known as JoRonCo Rentals, Inc.
Today JoRonCo Rentals, Inc. is ranked as one of the top party rental and special event companies in the area. JoRonCo Rentals, Inc. is asked for by name more than any other company in Kern County when it comes to multi-day events or large scale concerts. They are the largest staging supplier in the San Joaquin Valley with over 9,000 square feet of stage. They are one of the largest tenting suppliers with over 60,000 square feet of tenting. Their inventory includes over 10,000 chairs, 800 tables, linen, china and a complete line of wedding and reception items. Their area of service stretches from Fresno to the North, Barstow to the East, San Luis Obispo to the West and the LA Basin to the South.
